The Color Run Baltimore

This past weekend, I headed down to Baltimore (yes, again!) to participate in The Color Run! I can honestly say that it was one of the most fun days of my life… I highly recommend adding a Color Run to your bucket list.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with what it is- It’s coined “The Happiest 5K on the Planet.” They occur in random cities- some big, some small- but always sell out quickly. Basically you run a little over 3 miles, getting covered in paint thought the course so that you resemble a rainbow at the finish line. Every half mile or so is a “color station” where people throw powder paint at you and squirt you with water guns so it sticks to your skin, your face, your hair… every park of your body is just covered in paint. At the end, theres a big celebration where everyone gets a paint bag and throws it up simultaneously, causing you to get even more painted if that was even possible. It was hard not to be smiling the whole time and we all agreed it hardly felt like 3 miles because of how much fun it was.

We celebrated more after by going to the bars in Federal Hill after the run- every single person there was covered in paint so it was basically a huge day party. We drank at C & R and then got some delicious sushi at Cross Street Market– the perfect end to the perfect day.

I’ll definitely be signing up for another one ASAP.

Here’s a list of when and where The Color Run will be in the next few months! -> Locations¬†
