There is nothing better than New York City in the spring (California in the fall may come close… but you get my point). If you live or work in Manhattan, you know the feeling you get on that first morning you notice the trees are full, the flowers are blooming, and the people all around you are… SMILING (a welcome sight after the many frozen frowns that winter brings).
Every morning, I walk from the West Village to East Village through Greenwich Village to get to work and it’s beyond picturesque. The fact that I get to walk through my favorite neighborhoods every morning is a blessing- I couldn’t dream of a better commute.
I’ve been finding myself snapping quick photos all of the time, because if you know me at all, you know:
1. I take photos of everything
2. I love mornings
I feel so at peace and happy when I’m walking alone through a quite neighborhood in Manhattan. There’s something so energizing about the fact I’m in the biggest city in the world, walking along one in a million streets, among one in a million people- but somehow I feel important. I know I’m not all that important in the grand scheme of things, but New York doesn’t make me feel that way.
New York will welcome you with open arms if you have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a feeling of self worth that can’t be defeated.
